Truancy and Exclusion from School Children are excluded from school when they have breached the schools behaviour policy, they can be excluded permanently or for a fixed period of time. Either way it is a very difficult time for parents to know who they should turn to for advice and support. This site has information on exclusion and truancy. Most County/District councils will have a section on their website regarding truancy and exclusion from schools. The above website has a useful directory where you can click straight through to your local council who will be able to direct you the right support in your area. This site has lots of useful information, if you click on Education and Learning which you will find on the left had menu, it will take you to the relevant information.
